Chittering Trail Run

Challenge yourself on the running trails of chittering

Sign up for one of three distances – 6km, 10km or 16km
Come and run or walk (6km course only) up and down the privately owned hills of The Orchard Perth in Lower Chittering, just 45 minutes away from central Perth.
Registration is now open and closes on Monday 9 August.
Event Day and Times:
The event will take place on Sunday 15 August 2021.
Event bib number and timing chip pickup starts at 7.00am – our cafe will also be open at this time.
Event briefing is at 8.00am and all participants must attend.
16km (Gain/Elevation 640m) – starts at 8.20am (minimum age 18 years old)
10km (Gain 490m) – starts at 8.30am (minimum age 18 years old)
6km (Gain 240m) – starts at 8.40am (minimum age 16 years old without an accompanying adult)
Unique Course (see maps below)
Our trails are mostly private (apart from some of the 16km course) so these are trails you won’t get to run very often. All the trails will be well marked and GPX files can be provided.
This course is rough, mostly natural and ready to challenge you.
The Orchard Perth is setup for events, so we have all the facilities you could need. We have a cafe onsite to grab your pre and post event coffees and snacks – Toilet facilities – Onsite parking – Amazing views.
We also have our packing shed and function area for registration and event activities. So even if the weather is a little off, you can relax out of the elements pre and post event.
Bibs and Chip Timing
All participants will have timing chips to track their progress around the course and provide accurate completion times. All the times will be posted on the official webpage after the event.
Participants will also have to wear a bib with a unique number on it for the event.
Health & Safety
In addition to marshals around the course, there will be first aiders on site in the event there is any treatment required.
King & Queen of the hill (Optional)
After the main event has finished there will be an optional special event – King & Queen of the hill.
For those who want to participate, you can take part in a one-off mad dash straight to the top of our toughest hill.
Will you claim the title of ‘King/Queen of the Hill’?
Note – this is only available to those participants who are finished by a certain cut off time.

Registration closes on the Monday before the event, so you won’t be able to enter at the last minute.
Yes, there will be food and drink available in our cafe throughout the day.
There will also be hot food served in the packing shed post-run for all the hungry runners (and spectators).
Yes we have male and female toilets by our packing shed.
There will also be temporary toilets around the venue to use on event day.
Participants need to be 18 and over to take part in the 10km and 16km courses.
Runners without an accompanying adult need to be at least 16 years old to enter the 6km course.
Children between 10 and 15 can take part in the 6km course with an accompanying adult taking part. The accompanying adult needs to stay with the child at all times.
Participants need to be able to jog/run the equivalent course distance on flat ground without any issues.
Our hills are fairly steep so it is expected that some participants may walk part of the course.
Yes. You need to carry an adequate amount of water with you around the course.
The trails will be a mix of gravel, grass, mud and rocky pathways.
You should wear appropriate footwear to suit the weather conditions.
If it has been raining in the days before the event it could get quite muddy.
That will make it extra fun!
There will be medals awarded to the the participants who cross the line 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each respective distance.
If you would like a participation medal as a keepsake, you can choose to pay extra for one during registration.
Only participants who order a participation medal during registration will get one. Medals cannot be ordered or paid for on the day of the event.
